    Job Description

    Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a

    constellation of over 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is

    to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities

    around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by

    delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including

    consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in

    places without reliable connectivity.

    The Kuiper Environmental Specialist will support critical environmental

    initiatives for Amazon's Kuiper project, based at either our Redmond or

    Kirkland, Washington facility. This role combines technical expertise with

    program support to enhance Kuiper's environmental performance and regulatory

    compliance. As an individual contributor, you will help implement environmental

    management systems, support compliance programs, and participate in continuous

    improvement initiatives. Working with the environmental team, you will assist in

    integrating environmental solutions and best practices into daily operations

    while ensuring regulatory requirements are met. Your responsibilities will

    include supporting environmental systems, maintaining compliance processes, and

    implementing sustainable practices.

    • Conduct facility condition evaluations
    • Collect and analyze environmental data
    • Participate in compliance reviews
    • Support environmental issue resolution
    • Stay current with environmental regulations
    • Assist with cross-functional environmental projects
    • Help deliver environmental training programs
    • Support environmental stewardship initiatives
    • Maintain stakeholder relationships
    • Support environmental program implementation

    Export Control Requirement:

    Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S.

    citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder),

    or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

    A day in the life

    Based at Redmond or Kirkland, Washington production facility, the Environmental

    Specialist role support Amazon Kuiper's EHS Environmental Compliance programs

    under the supervision of the Environmental Engineer and Sr. Environmental

    Manager. In this role, you'll help maintain and improve our environmental

    programs while supporting manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for

    implementing technical solutions, supporting compliance initiatives, and

    assisting with environmental challenges in our state-of-the-art facilities. This

    position offers opportunities to work at the intersection of aerospace

    Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering,

    math, business or equivalent

    • 1+ years' experience in EHS environmental compliance, preferably in

    manufacturing

    • Knowledge of key environmental regulations (CAA, CWA, RCRA)
    • Experience in environmental data collection, analysis, and regulatory

    confidentiality

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    • Demonstrated rapid learning ability and exceptional performance Preferred

    Qualifications: - Basic knowledge of environmental management systems (e.g.,

    ISO14001)

    • Experience in environmental compliance experience in aerospace manufacturing
    • Experience with Washington State environmental regulations
    • Demonstrated project management skills, particularly in environmental projects

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic

    markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest

    geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is

    based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on

    job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation

    company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other

    forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package,
