No prior ziplining experience needed – we provide comprehensive training. Season: Peak Season is June-August with additional guiding opportunities in Autumn and Spring. 

Pay Rate: $14/hour guides, $15/hour lead guides 

Training:

  • Guide: May 17-23, 2025
  • Lead Guide: June, date TBD (Sweep training required)

Responsibilities: 

  • Inspect and document equipment and assist with pre and post-tour tasks.
  • Greet all participants warmly and establish a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Guide up to two canopy tours per day.
  • Debrief experiences with fellow staff to make constructive improvements.
  • Ensure safety procedures are enforced for the well-being of self and others.
  • Follow emergency procedures, including conducting aerial rescues as trained.
  • Adhere to industry standards as instructed by Common Ground.

Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture with many personalities.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Successfully complete canopy tour guide training and verification.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to physically maneuver the canopy tour course and assist participants.
  • Engaging and creative while speaking to groups of participants. 
  • Possess a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to face stressful situations calmly and professionally.
