The Supplier Operations Specialist – Sub-Contractors will play a critical role within the TD Supplier Operations organization. This role will be responsible for efficiently securing all scheduled subcontractor dates as well as negotiate rates with vendors. This role will effectively “own” sub cons contracts and vendor relationships in their assigned regions. This Specialist must be comfortable engaging in negotiations via email and over the phone with our partners. This role will work closely with stakeholders across Supplier Operations and in the field. The Sub-Con Specialist must be comfortable working with a team, effectively managing priorities and meeting all deadlines.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Efficiently secure sub-contractor dates and negotiate rates in the contracts.
  • Work closely with TE’s and RE’s in the field to have systems updated by the Post-Season Update deadline.
  • Regularly audit reports for added and cancelled dates and communicate changes with suppliers. 
  • Secure all necessary COI in a timely manner.
  • Communicate clearly and work with key stakeholders across departments and the field.
  • Coordinate with relevant team members to secure sub-cons and make necessary changes based on any assortment fluctuations.
  • Make necessary updates to itineraries when services are denied or changed.

  • Organized. You’re an efficient time-manager and can handle the pressure of meeting multiple strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team: You will be collaborating and often contributing to discussions amongst internal teams; you also work effectively without a lot of support or structure.
  • Problem-Solvers. As an action-oriented self-starter, you’re eager to apply your expertise in diagnosing inefficiencies, determining root causes, and recommending solutions to complex challenges.
  • Personable. You establish and nurture highly effective relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders that support and advance project goals and objectives.
  • Credible. Ability to quickly develop a thorough understanding of Backroads business timelines and providing administrative support, you quickly establish credibility as a reliable resource.
  • Persuasive & Analytical. Outstanding written & verbal negotiation skills.
