REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 16 years of age.
- Has or must be able to obtain or become certified in First Aid/CPR.
- Ability to work a varying work schedule.
- Ability to interact with all age levels.
- Experience or willingness to work with children that have special needs
- Ability to work independently.
JOB DUTIES
- Complete staff development training and an area specific training as assigned.
- Ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude for learning, environmental stewardship, and fun.
- Responsible for a group (1:16) of campers to provide a safe, fun, and exciting camp experience.
- Check in and greet families upon arrival and departure.
- Work with supervisors to resolve participant behavior problems.

Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior.
- Follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures.
- Set a good example to campers and others in regard to general camp procedures and practices including sanitation, schedule, and sportsmanship.

- Works as part of a team with other IROEC staff members and uses interpersonal communication techniques to ensure the success of the program and positive work environment.

- This job requires the use of hands to handle, control or feel objects or tools.

The mission of The Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center is to serve all youth of Orange County by providing quality outdoor educational programs that instill in them an appreciation of the outdoors and the environment, teach effective teamwork, instruct about the cultural history of Orange County and provide access to the natural resources of the surrounding areas.
