Overview:
As the Staff Accountant you will assist in the daily operations of Flarespace’s finance team. You will assist the Controller with inventory tasks, tax and licenses, customer and vendor management, general accounting, and MSOs and titles all while being an exceptional team player and a superior brand ambassador of our reputation within our vibrant community of vanlifers, adventure seekers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage the business license and sales/use tax setup process for current and new jurisdictions, file monthly and annual returns,
- Perform and reconcile inventory counts to the subledger, setup new inventory items, and perform cycle counts as needed,
- Establish, maintain, and help enforce workflow approvals and documentation for fragmented processes,
- Process and file MSOs and titles,
- Establish new vendors and customers by following protocols for credit applications, insurance coverage, tax reporting, and more,
- Collect, code, and reconcile credit card charges on a regular basis,
- Reconcile open POs and identify any adjustments needed to accelerate to purchase-to-pay process, verify customer and vendor accounts by reconciling statements and transactions,
- Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions,
- Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls,
- Contribute to the overall success of the accounting team by co-elevating with all team members through collaboration, cooperation, and camaraderie,
- All other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
- Flexible: Generally Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Arvada, CO - Hybrid, Flarespace Headquarters & Remote
Qualifications/Skills:
Netsuite ERP experience a plus, organized and thorough, data entry skills, general math skills, ability to analyze information, high level of attention to detail, good problem solver, solid data entry practices, active listener, juggler & prioritization of many tasks simultaneously well, patient, emotionally intelligent, strong interpersonal skills, computer literate, including familiarity with common word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required
- Experience partnering with vendors/suppliers
- Proven track record of working in a fast-paced work environment that requires high levels of attention to detail
