The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and leadership of cross functional Core Teams tasked to deliver new hardgoods and softgoods products to market (softgoods as primary focus). This includes the process and timeline planning and management of approved projects by following and iterating upon the New Production Introduction process, project management principles, techniques, and teamwork. This position will be responsible for working closely with all teams involved to achieve the outputs and timeline required in the project scope. This position will define and execute the overall process, train associates, and continuously improve and evolve the process to meet the company and market needs. This position is accountable for the Core Team delivering projects on-time, within scope, at cost and with the required quality.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Drive the development of Core Teams’ scope and expectations together with Core Team members
  • Leadership of complex Core Teams, including the creation of each team’s process and timeline definition, followed by the management of the Team’s progress against those definitions
  • Track and report on project milestones; report progress out to Senior Leadership Team and broad cross-functional groups
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring changes to scope are documented and approved with Senior Product Team
  • Lead and coordinate Milestone reviews, Senior Leadership Team progress reviews, and post-launch business reviews
  • Manage, maintain, and proactively improve the New Product Introduction Process including Stage Gate, Roles and Responsibilities, and Core Team best practices
  • Develop tools, best practices, and training for project management and execution
  • Train, coach and develop cross-functional team associates in project management methods and new product introduction process
  • Lead post-project process evaluations to leverage strengths and improve the areas of weakness
  • Driving performance and results for product readiness
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Project Management or a related field, or 8+ years of experience in Project Management or management role with cross functional teams
  • PMP or equivalent certification
  • Demonstrated leadership managing people and teams strategically, operationally and technically
  • Experience in New Product Development and implementation
  • Experience with diverse product categories, global development, manufacturing and markets, and seasonal launches
  • Experience partnering with multiple departments and stakeholders (including building/implementing processes and leading engagements)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Smartsheets, and Microsoft Project, with ability to use online tools such as LucidChart and Sharepoint
  • Understanding and ability to influence system dynamics and drivers of culture/ways of working
  • Excellent planning and project execution skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills including team leadership, written, verbal and teaching skills
  • Strong problem recognition and collaboration skills for resolution
  • Good judgment with the ability to drive timely and sound decisions
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Ability to escalate issues in a concise and timely manner
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Working Environment:

Primarily works in the office in a sitting or standing position.  Work can include laboratory and production environments.  Computer use will range from 6-8 hours per day. Lifting up to 25 lbs.  unassisted  is  a  physical  requirement.  Domestic and international travel is expected at approximately 15-20% of job related activities, International trips may include weekends and could extend to 2 weeks at a time.

Pay Range:
$88,800.00 - $152,900.00
