We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to be part of the sales team. In this role you will provide customized software solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, designing, documenting, and demoing solutions to ensure successful client implementations. You will be responsible for ensuring that RocketRez products are presented accurately and that our value proposition is articulated effectively throughout the sales cycle. The mission is to demonstrate how RocketRez's products interact with our customers using creative storytelling.
Core Responsibilities
- Work closely with sales and technical teams to understand client requirements and design customized software solutions.
- Provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process, including product demonstrations, technical discussions, and solution design.
- Collaborate with the product team to develop and implement new features and functionality to meet client needs.
- Lead technical discussions with potential and existing customers to understand their business requirements and demonstrate the value of our platform.
- Customize and integrate RocketRez’s platform with customer's existing systems or third-party solutions, including payment gateways, marketing automation tools, and CRM systems.
- Act as a technical advisor to customers, providing guidance on how to best leverage the platform to achieve their business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver custom solutions, including product management, engineering, and support.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as API guides and integration manuals, to support customers in using our platform.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, such as technical demonstrations and proof of concepts, to win new business and expand our customer base.
- Provide feedback to the product team on product roadmap and feature development based on customer needs and market trends.
- Travel for tradeshows and prospective client meetings. Travel is usually only a couple of times a year but can fluctuate based on business needs.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical role, such as software engineering or technical consulting.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with software development, databases, and API integration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams; specifically, with technical teams (Product, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success)
- Some sales experience as you will be working with Account Executives to drive opportunities forward.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop solutions.
- Experience working with clients in the tourism or attractions industry is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
