The Social Media Specialist I, within the Brand Communications Team is responsible for daily publishing and daily audience engagement across all Simms social media channels. The Social Media Specialist I will work closely with the PR, Content Manager and Social Media Specialist II to create an efficient and sustainable pipeline of content to consistently feed Simms social media and digital platforms. In addition, this hire will play a key role in the overarching social media and digital content strategy by aligning organic content with Simms’ business objectives, conservation initiatives, and brand awareness campaigns.
This position reports to the Manager of PR, Content + Digital Marketing and is an in-house role, located in our Bozeman, MT office.

As the Social Media Manager I, you'll have the opportunity to:
  • Daily publishing across Simms social media channels
  • Daily engagement with Simms’ social media audience
  • Log and tag organic content in Simms Digital Asset Management System
  • Identify, source, and ethically acquire content from external content creators
  • Coordinate strategic organic social media and digital content campaigns across all Simms owned channels
  • Develop and continue communications with key content creators
  • Contract content for Simms usage across all digital channels
  • Strategic calendaring of Simms editorial calendar
  • Strategic connectivity of Simms digital channels to align brand and business goals
     
You have:
  • Bachelors degree in related field 
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Well rounded, passionate angler
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and adaptability to changing trends and marketing group/Simms’ priorities
  • Basic to intermediate video editing capabilities (Adobe Premiere Pro, LightRoom, Photoshop)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well and problem solve independently and on the fly but also to be an active collaborative member of a tight knit marketing team
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple projects/initiatives in addition to daily publishing and communication tasks
