Ski Patroller

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Ski Patroller you will have to ensure that Nemacolin’s ski hill is up to industry standard to create the safest environment possible on the ski hill.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must have a valid OEC, EMT, or wilderness first responder certification or license


• Must have a valid CPR certification


• Ensuring all tasks are done in a timely manner and up to Nemacolin standards.


• Be able to respond to calls and preform first aid to the level of an Outdoor Emergency Clinician


• Assists supervisors in daily operations.


• Be able to operate a snowmobile or be trained to do so.


• Assist in supervision of all line level associates including but not limited to: breaking staff for lunch, ending staff out to perform daily functions, assure staff is on time for reservations and also enforcing the need to take walk up reservations.


• Put up snow fencing and signage daily.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Friendly and out-going personality.


• Have a valid OEC, EMT or First Responder certification


• Have a valid CPR Card


• Be able to be outside in winter elements for majority of an 8-hour shift


• Should enjoy outdoor adventure activities.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.


• Must be able to speak the English language fluently.


• Ability to perform high intensity activities and tasks.


• Must be able to work a variety of shifts – including holidays, weekends, etc.


• Strong organizational skills.


• Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
