About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Manager and Solutions Architect to join our digital team. You will be responsible for managing the continued development and architecture of our Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our business and delivers exceptional customer experiences. While speed, agility, and innovative thinking are critical attributes in this role, ultimately success will be measured by delivering timely results, managing expectations, and being innovative while minimizing risky outcomes. As a key leader of the digital team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our digital strategy and driving innovation.

Essential Functions:

Technical Functions

  • Be the owner of our technology stack�s overall health. SFCC, SFRA, Advance Rental Custom Code, 3rd party integrations.
  • Manage our Digital SDLC, own all source code management and release process responsibilities.
  • Lead the development and architecture of our SFCC platform. Designing, building, testing, and maintaining SFCC code, custom features, configurations, and integrations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest SFCC SFRA features and technologies, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimizing the platform for performance and scalability.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT on all legacy system integration points and our Mulesoft environment.
  • Review/audit and report back to cross-functional stakeholders the impact of all code, content, and design as it relates to site performance, SEO, and WCAG AA compliance.
  • Influence best practices for code quality, security, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring a smooth and reliable user experience.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable and scalable code.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Business Functions

  • Participate in all requirements gathering and lead all technical documentation efforts for build requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and developers to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure successful execution.
  • Mentor and guide the development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Teach, mentor, and guide the organization to best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, clearly explaining complex technical concepts.
  • Manage your time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a digital/eCommerce business.
  • Minimum of 3 years with the SFCC platform. Previous work experience with SFRA is required.
  • Expert in front-end and back-end scripting and web development languages (HTML/CSS/JS/jQuery/JSON)
  • Experience with SFCC APIs, integrations, and custom development tools.
  • Strong understanding of website tagging, analytics, data capture, and the complexities introduced via the evolution of privacy rights as it relates to browser and OS interactions.
  • High degree of acumen with web services, XML data objects, batch, and real-time integrations.
  • Experience with WCAG AA compliance efforts, technical SEO, and consumer/data privacy (such as CCPA)
  • Appropriate degree, education, and training preferred.
  • While not a project manager, comfortable with owning tasks, timelines, conflict, and deliverables.
  • Understand the nature of a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and be comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Competent in writing requirements, and communicating timelines, dependencies, risks, and barriers with business leadership.
  • Proven experience leading and managing development teams.
  • History of success in training and developing junior web developers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with other e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with DevOps practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Passion for snow.

Budgeted range starts at: $120,000 � 180,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
