We are looking for a senior level bookkeeper/accountant with QuickBooks experience to manage accounting duties and assist our management team for continued success. Primary responsibilities include: payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, timely and accurate month-end closing, financial statement preparation, management reporting, audits, fixed assets, sales tax and other accounting related duties. This position will work closely with the leadership team in an active role to influence financial and operational performance across the business. Success requires a financially minded, self-motivated individual with a can-do outlook to manage business opportunities in a fast paced environment.

The Job:
This is a one person position who responsible for managing most aspects of the financial back-end of a small business.  It’s your job to make sure vendors are paid on time & the books are balanced. AR/AP, Payroll as well as financial reporting. 

It is challenging, rewarding & fun.

As a remote team we need someone who’s adaptable, dependable and able to work independently.

The schedule is 8am to 4pm Mountain Time. We are flexible with time-off however there will be evening & weekend field-line shifts occasionally where you are on-call. There will be last minute fires to put out & problems to solve.

But at the end of the day – it’s a super fun & rewarding position & you get to work from home!

Skills
  • Candidate must be located within the Greater Colorado Springs, CO area
  • 3+ years experience working as a bookkeeper
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online
  • Quick learner to learn internal software for financial reconciliation
  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Self-starting attitude, dependable, ability to manage your own time, start projects and take initiative
  • Proven problem solver - ability to think ahead and juggle lots of projects without dropping the ball
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously — you get things done, meet deadlines and keep promises
  • Insane attention to detail and high standards of organizational quality
  • Positive attitude is a MUST, flexible, solution oriented, and excited to work with a diverse team
  • Mature, coachable, and happy doing high-level projects as well as mundane tasks (there will be a mix of both!)
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) 

Benefits
  • Compensation Range $45,000  - $60,000. Competitive compensation based on experience with bonus potential
