About the Role:
This is not your typical accounting role. Think finance, but with a McTwist! We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and growing finance team! Reporting directly to the Controller, you will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting and treasury function. Sure, you’ll be responsible for all the fun accounting and financial “stuff,” but you’ll be doing it together with the coolest crew around! 

Responsibilities:
  • You have a vision and drive for operational excellence, standardizing processes, and implementing best-in-class accounting practices
  • You are a super fantastic partner with teams throughout the business
  • You take full ownership of your responsibilities and understand end-to-end processes, including month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Assist with the development of X Games accounting policies
  • Daily involvement in bookkeeping, vendor procurement, AR collections, AP payments, and payroll processing
  • Ensure credit card payments and employee expense reports are processed timely and accurately
  • Involvement in systems implementations to achieve scalability and efficiency across processes and workflows
  • Support Controller with the tax filings and audit-related deliverables
  • Assist Controller with designing accounting policies and SOX internal controls, ensure procedures are documented and SOPs are updated
  • Take on ad-hoc requests and own projects in addition to your daily responsibilities
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of accounting experience at a quickly evolving company
  • Bachelor's degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and are comfortable analyzing large datasets to make informed conclusions
  • US GAAP Accrual Accounting expertise and SOX knowledge
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines
  • Willing to work up to two days a week in the Denver co-working space
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm - unafraid to ask probing questions and challenge existing plans; ready to improve processes, own projects, automate manual workflows, and to have fun while doing it all
  • Excitement to tackle a rapidly evolving ecosystem of issues, projects, and priorities
  • You embrace and advocate the X Games culture and values
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and follow-through inclined self-starter
  • Certified Public Accountant designation or in the process of sitting for the exam
  • Experience building an accounting department in a high-growth company environment
  • Knowledge of Bill.com, Quickbooks, G-Suite is a plus

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $65,000-$75,000 yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
