Responsibilities

Manage day to day accounting operations
Provide direction and training to accounting staff to ensure understanding and compliance with company policies
Oversee the month end close process and ensure accurate and timely internal reporting
Review all month end reconciliations prepared by staff for accuracy and completeness
Act as the main point person for all external audit requests and assist in the preparation of the annual financial statements
Update and maintain all retail store lease schedules and CAM calculations
Ensure inventory is accurately reserved and reflected within NetSuite
Post complex journal entries and review all journal entries posted by Staff Accountants
Maintain a strong internal control environment over all financial transactions and processes
Review and prioritize all AP payments made weekly to optimize company cash flow
Reconcile revenue and returns to source data on a monthly basis
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive Accounting experience
Degree in Accounting or Business administration required, CPA preferred
Experience in public accounting a plus
Background in consumer goods or retail, with time spent in apparel industry a major plus
Proficient with accounting software, NetSuite a plus
