Position Overview:
The Seasonal HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day HR functions of our Denali operations during the bustling summer season. This position requires a hands-on, adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinate seasonal hiring efforts, including candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting new hire orientations.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, mediating conflicts, and ensuring positive workplace culture.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, assist with payroll processing, and oversee compliance with state and federal employment regulations.
- Training and Development: Support employee training programs and ensure team members are equipped for success in their roles.
- Housing Coordination: Assisting the Housing/Transportation Manager with seasonal staff housing logistics, ensuring accommodations meet standards and addressing any issues promptly.
- Uniforms and Certifications: Oversee distribution of uniforms and tracking of required certifications for compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a hospitality or seasonal workforce environment
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with ADP and Toast POS is a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Familiarity with labor laws and regulations in Alaska is a plus
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak season as needed
