The Northern Lights Village brand was born in 2016 and since then we have opened three resorts in Finnish Lapland. About the Role

We are in search of an enthusiastic and charismatic individual to fill the role of Santa Claus at our resort. This unique position is pivotal in creating enchanting experiences for our guests, leaving lasting memories. The role demands a person who can bring warmth, joy, and the magic of Christmas to life at the Northern Lights Village.

In addition to your work as Santa Claus, when the activity is not offered, you can complement your hours by working as a supporting guide, guest service attendant or help in any other department.

Key Responsibilities


  • Greeting families and guests, embodying the spirit and joy of the Christmas season

  • Posing for photos and interacting with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner

  • Learning facts about the guests prior to meeting them

  • Keeping Santa’s Cabin clean and organized

  • Maintaining the Santa Claus persona and outfit with dignity and authenticity

  • Collaborating with guides and elves 

  • Adapting to various guest interactions with patience, empathy, and creativity

Requirements


  • Previous customer service experience

  • Valid B drivers’ license

  • Fluent written and spoken English

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Ability to create a welcoming and joyful environment for all guests

  • Exceptional communication skills and a flair for storytelling

  • Comfortable working with children and able to engage in a sensitive and understanding manner

  • Ability to work outdoors, in cold temperatures

  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays

Beneficial Qualifications


  • Education in acting or performing arts

  • Finnish language knowledge

  • Previous experience as a wilderness guide

  • Previous experience in any hospitality industry department

  • Knowledge of local area

  • Photography skills

Pay, duration and benefits



  • Starts: November, Ends: March/April

  • Minimum 90 working hours per 3 weeks period

  • Hourly pay negotiated in an interview, according to knowledge and experience

  • Other benefits according to the collective labor agreement

  • If necessary, the resort provides accommodation in a shared room for €250,00/month
