Director of Sales and Marketing
The Director of Sales and Marketing is primarily responsible for leading and driving top line revenue strategy for traditional sales-related segments, including group, volume transient & catering. The individual is additionally responsible for staying ahead of market trends, market share movement and ongoing competitive hotel analysis, while directing the property sales teams (rooms & catering) to insure budgeted revenues are met or exceeded.
- Prepares Sales Reports and annual Sales & Marketing Plan
- Executes and if necessary helps create effective sales programs to increase awareness and positive perception of hotel, its activities, culinary services, and personnel.

Possesses knowledge of the travel industry, current market trends and economic factors

Assist senior leadership in preparation of the marketing, advertising, sales plans, programs and annual budget; manages within approved plans and budgets
- Ability to lead sales and marketing team and collaborate with other departments.
- Develop rates, group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.
Sales and Marketing Manager
The Sales and Marketing Manager provides business development to the Sales Department through targeted market outreach for specific venues, as well as develops and maintains community and client relations.
- Actively solicits new business opportunities by conducting effective sales calls, makes off-site sales calls, mailers, emails and presentations to potential clients
- Creates new business and generates new leads
- Generates sales and maximizes revenue while developing and maintaining long term relationships with clients
- Creates and maintains positive community relationships

Requirements
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelorβs Degree preferred
- Has a minimum of 3 years in Sales and Events management, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
- Has strong interpersonal skills and strong guest/client relations and able to conduct analysis and has good decision-making
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, sales, guest relations and etiquette
- Basic understanding of legal contract language
- Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values

An intermediate to proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Opera, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
