Job Overview (What You’ll Do):

Cotopaxi is seeking a Retail Inventory Coordinator who will play a vital role in supporting our retail order inventory and transfer order fulfillment within the planning department. This position involves collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient inventory management and timely product delivery to all of our retail stores. 

Key responsibilities will include managing transfer orders through the entire fulfillment lifecycle, assisting with supply planning, monitoring inventory levels to prevent overstock or stockouts, and contributing to the seasonal product end-of-life process. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to handle large data volumes, with an emphasis on collaboration and process improvement.

Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in planning-related fields, such as supply or inventory planning, and will have a detail-oriented, solution-driven mindset. The position is remote with occasional travel to the Salt Lake City office for meetings, making it an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a focus on continuous improvement in inventory management.

Job Responsibilities (How You’ll Do It):

• Review and provide feedback on retail store demand plans based on store capacity and product arrival schedules.
• Create and manage transfer orders within Cotopaxi’s ERP, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, tracking, and timely resolution of any delays or discrepancies in store deliveries.
• Oversee month-end closing processes to ensure accurate inventory tracking and timely reconciliation of inventory in transit.
• Contribute to the development of a retail fulfillment milestone calendar, ensuring inventory arrives on time to support key initiatives like pre-season setups, holiday sales, and promotions.
• Monitor inventory levels at retail locations, escalating potential overstock or stockout risks to management.
• Assist in the end-of-life process for seasonal products and coordinate the transfer of goods to outlet stores.
• Track in-season store performance and execute inventory rebalancing to optimize stock levels
• Help establish safety stock levels and reorder points to maintain product availability in retail stores.

The Ideal Candidate (What You Need to Succeed):

• 1-3 years of experience in planning roles, including supply, inventory, demand, forecasting, or replenishment planning.
• Strong understanding of retail math, inventory metrics, and product lifecycle management.
• Proven analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and manage transit, fulfillment timing, and large volumes of data.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with replenishment planning software is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a creative, solution-driven mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build consensus and drive continuous improvement.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on process optimization and innovation.
