Red Seal Certified Welder

• Experience\: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Welder/Fitter/Fabricator.


• Certification\: Valid Red Seal welding certification (CWB certification is preferred). High School diploma or equivalent is required. 


• Technical Skills\: Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques. Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.


• Blueprint Reading\: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.


• Attention to Detail\: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in all work performed.


• Safety Conscious\: Knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety standards.


• Physical Requirements\: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions (e.g., crouching, bending).

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor this position will be responsible for:

• Welding\: Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.


• Fitting\:  Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the exact dimensions and configuration of parts and structures.


• Fabrication\: Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.


• Quality Control\: Inspect completed welds and fabrications for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet the required standards.


• Safety\: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work area.


• Maintenance\: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools. Execute Other maintenance tasks as assigned with other lead trades(MWT)


• Collaboration\: Work closely with other team members to meet project deadlines and production goals.
