RECREATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION 

We are looking for a results-oriented candidate with excellent interpersonal skills for the position of Recreational Manager. Responsible for setting regional goals such as sales estimates and revenue projections, ensuring that marketing efforts are consistent across each activity, managing a budget, and ensuring operation within the budget, among other duties. Recreational activities and profit centers include hang gliding, kiteboarding, watersport/bike rentals, zipline, paragliding, camping, and concessionaires. 

RECREATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER RESPONSIBILITES 
·       Willing to execute on Company’s Vision, Mission, Purpose and Core Values 
·       Recruiting, training, managing, coaching, disciplining and developing staff 
·       Ensuring operational efficiency, marketing efforts, budgets, and P&L management of each operation 
·       Ensuring that marketing efforts are consistent across each activity 
·       Setting recreational activity and profit center goals, such as sales estimates, revenue projections, and payroll budgets 
·       Ensuring that activities and materials adhere to company and industry safety and other regulations 
·       Managing a regional budget and ensuring that each activity operates with the budget 
·       Addressing operational problems that arise 
·       Liaising recreational activities with company headquarters 
·       Ensuring that customer service levels are consistent across activities 
·       Making recommendations to senior management 
·       Supporting recreation managers and ensuring they meet their goals 
·       Developing capable and expert teams for each profit center 

RECREATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER REQUIREMENTS
 

·       5+ years in recreational program activities and management 
·       Seasonal business experience a plus 
·       Analytical mindset, critical thinking skills, quantitative aptitude and experience managing budgets 
·       Leadership and decision-making ability 
·       Excellent time management and organizational skills 
·       Exceptional interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication 
·       Exceptional and proven selling skills 
·       Willing to work 50-60 hours per week during the season
