Job Overview

The Production Artist is an opportunity to play a role in the fast-moving eCommerce retail space. This position will be part of a creative services team and will focus on production and versioning of concepts executed by the design team. The team develops a variety of digital, print, and internal/external marketing collateral for the retail industry. The Production Artist must thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects within a corporate setting.

About the Job:

·       Conceptualize and develop creative solutions for a diverse set of marketing and cross-functional campaigns, delivering against brand and financial goals.
·       Interpret client requests into functional design solutions that support and achieve company objectives.
·       Execute design solutions for Backcountry’s co-op and Steep & Cheap campaigns
·       Optimize artwork from graphic designers for pre-production (sizing, placements)
·       Deliver designs to brand standards for templates, icons, type and selects.
·       Design for a broad range of media including print, digital, social, and email
·       Contribute to discussions that create unique, differentiated and compelling creative
 
About You:

·       Academic background in graphic design, or related field; or 2+ years equivalent experience.
·       A strong online portfolio, exhibiting clean visual design sensibilities.
·       Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
·       Critical, conceptual thinker with excellent attention to detail
·       Take constructive feedback well and work collaboratively with a talented team.
·       Execute and produce modern principles of design within layout, typography, color and interaction.
·       Ability to multi-task and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
·       Solid work ethic and desire to go above and beyond to get the job done.
·       Willingness to do what’s necessary to contribute to the success of the team.
·       A passion for designing in the outdoor industry
