The Principal Architect will be responsible for translating business goals into technology architecture, ensuring the alignment of IT strategy with business objectives. You will design and oversee the implementation of complex, enterprise-wide systems and applications, ensuring they support the organization's current and future needs. The Enterprise Architect is also responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the technology infrastructure that aligns with the business strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of the organization's operations, products, `goals, and technology needs. The architect works closely with various stakeholders to ensure that IT initiatives meet current and future business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement architecture solutions for large-scale systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Architectural Design: Design and oversee the implementation of technology solutions, including systems, applications, and network infrastructure, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Design, coordinate, and manage the organization's architecture strategy, models and patterns to help it perform more effectively and enhance technology processes
- Lead solution definition of enterprise technical standards, including operations, development, coding, testing, build, deployment standards, tools, or platforms.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance the organization's IT capabilities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations.
- Define and enforce architecture standards and best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of architects and developers.
- Conduct architecture reviews and audits.
- Ensure alignment between IT and business strategies.
- Oversee the integration of new systems with existing IT infrastructure.
- Manage and mitigate architectural risks.
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree preferred in Computer Science background.
- 15+ years of experience in IT service operations, development and management
- 5+ years of Experience as an Lead Architect/Principal Architect or in a similar role.
- 10+ years of Experience in architecture methodologies like Domain-Driven Design, API Architectures, Microservices architecture, Event Driven Architectures, Distributed Systems in large scale enterprise.
- 5+ years of experience in each of the Business, Infrastructure, Application, Integration &, Data Architecture in-depth knowledge of enterprise IT architecture principles, patterns and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-level software development and system integration.
- 5+ Experience with cloud Architecture involving Cloud native architectures and migration of workloads (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- 5+ years of experience as an Lead Architect/Principal Architect Experience with DevSecOps practices focusing on continuous delivery with zero downtime /Canary Deployment and a robust Continuous integration cycle..
- Strong understanding and experience with Architecturally Significant Requirements (ASR), Architectural Decision Records (ADR), Non-Functional Requirements (NFR), Technology Roadmaps (TRM), and the ability to effectively document and communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and strategies
- Skillful in modeling and analyzing complex systems using architectural models like ArchiMate, C4, N+1.
- Experience with cloud technologies, on-prem datacenter technologies and migration strategies.
- Experience with Enterprise Application Development Backend/Frontend technologies like C#, .Net & JavaScript.
- Experience leading and facilitating the creation and implementation of architectural governance and standards across the enterprise using fitness functions, architecture tests and other governance frameworks.
- Experience with data modeling, SQL, NoSQL database systems such as MSSQL, MySQL, cosmos DB, Couchbase, Redis etc. Architect Robust solutions addressing business & technical challenges including reusability, resiliency, performance, scalability, security, Cost.
- Experience with architecting multitenant web applications & RESTful API.
- Experience with architecture processes like ASR, ADR,
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in relevant industries (e.g., travel).
