Job Title: Doggy Day Camp Counselor

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Doggy Day Camp Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision to dogs participating in our day camp and overnight pet lodge! The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, strong communication skills, great attention to detail and a positive attitude. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage with dogs in our day camp facility, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Lead group play sessions and organize fun activities to stimulate physical and mental exercise.
  • Provide individualized attention and care to each dog based on their unique needs and preferences.
  • Monitor dog behavior and intervene as needed to prevent conflicts or ensure positive interactions.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including regular cleaning and disinfection of the cabins, play areas and equipment.
  • Assist with feeding, administering medication, and other basic care tasks as required.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pet's activities and behavior.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting, such as a dog daycare, kennel, or veterinary clinic, is preferred, or at minimum personal experience with training and handling multiple dog households.
  • Strong understanding of dog behavior, body language, and basic training techniques.
  • Ability to handle dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments with confidence and compassion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners and team members.
  • Reliable, responsible, and punctual, with a genuine passion for working with animals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
