Position Title: North Shore Cycle Store Manager
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience managing a bike shop or similar retail environment
- Knowledge of, and passion for, the cycling industry including trends, products, and services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train, motivate and lead a team
- Understanding of basic bicycle repairs and how to implement common solutions
- Demonstrated customer service and sales experience, with the ability to multitask while being attentive to customers
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Spanish speaker highly desirable
Job Description:
Northshore Cycle has been a staple in the cycling community of Lynn, MA and surrounding towns for over 30 years. As the Store Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening/closing procedures, tracking inventory and sales, assisting customers with inquiries and purchases, and overseeing a small team of sales associates and bike mechanics.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing, inventory management, sales, customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean showroom.
- Lead and manage a team of sales associates and mechanics, providing training and support as needed.
- Foster a positive and welcoming customer experience by staying up-to-date on the latest products and trends in the cycling industry and providing expert advice to customers.
- Assist with company email, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries on social media.
- Manage schedules for store staff and bike service work to ensure adequate store coverage and timely customer bike repairs.
- Supervise the bike rental program, including tracking and monitoring rental agreements, payments, bike service needs and returns.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Full-time; 5 days a week
- Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday
- Store Hours: 10 am to 6 pm
- Salaried Position: $50,000/year
- $500 sign-on bonus
