Mountain Bike Kid's Camp Counselor - for camps held at Kingdom Trails, Vermont

Prerequisites for applicants: 

  • Enjoy cycling/ proficient mountain biker
  • CPR/First Aid certification.*
  • Completion of online and in-person training. 
  • CIT program open for ages 16 and 17 
  • Counselors MUST acquire a Kingdom Trails Membership
*Not required for CITs

Time commitment: 

  • You must be available for 2-5 days of camp per week for 6 weeks from late June through early August.
  • Camps will run from 9am - 1pm M-F for the 5-day option and M-W for the 3-day camp and M-Tues for the youngsters camp.
  • You will also be required to attend an in-person orientation training with your local camp manager.

What the role entails:

  • Reporting to the local lead counselor and camp manager.
  • Working with another member of the team to run all aspects of camp based on our curriculum, which includes
  • Teaching individual skills modules
  • Running games

Leading skills application rides

  • Assisting the lead counselor at check in every day
  • Setting up and cleaning up every day
  • Reporting to your lead counselor about any group changes that need to be made
  • Ensuring a SAFE and fun environment for all

Experience:

  • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred) - Not required for CIT's

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (Preferred) - Not required for CIT's
