Natural Habitat Adventures’ Marketing Team is expanding with the addition of a Marketing Project Manager position. This person will take on ownership of several key programs and support a variety of other projects that will enhance our marketing operations and outreach. The person we are seeking for this role will have a diverse set of abilities and strengths, with technical aptitude at the center of their skillset. This is a full-time office or virtual position based in Boulder, CO. Working hours are expected to be 8:00 am-5:00 pm Mountain time Monday through Friday, although additional hours may be required to achieve your goals. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Owner of Nat Hab’s Photo & Video Sharing Platform:
- Oversee and direct all aspects of Photo & Video Sharing Platform
- Act as a liaison between all platform users (Expedition Leaders and guests) and office staff stakeholders (customer service team, photo and design teams, etc.)
- Work closely with our web development team to:
- Implement new functionality, UX enhancements, and bug fixes, manage tasks and test extensively
- Drive increased engagement, participation and sharing rates of travelers and guides
- Build new functionality for lead generation and a guest communication tool to expand the impact of the platform on repeat and referral business
- Manage/enhance backend administrative functionality
- Lead live trainings for staff and enhance Help documentation and videos for travelers
- Project Leader for Annual Contests, Sweepstakes & Special Promotions-
- Annual traveler photo and essay contest, multi-partner sweepstakes, and other special incentive programs designed to further expand and engage our audience
- Recruit and interface with partner companies and organizations to expand the reach and impact of these initiatives
- Develop the promotional strategy, outreach plans and schedules for Nat Hab and partners
- Work with external sweepstakes company to craft legal Terms & Conditions and other contest rules
- Coordinate with Nat Hab’s marketing team on promotional needs
- Work with our web development team to build features and functionality to host contests
- Production Management Support
- Support the Director of Marketing Production with the process of creating digital and print marketing assets for use across our channels
- Create clear, concise production briefs for each project to guide the work of writers, designers, video editors, etc.
- Manage & collaborate with staff, contract creatives and stakeholders to prioritize, complete, and ensure the highest quality of final products
- Support the production needs of other Nat Hab staff and departments
- Special Project Management
- Support the development of an ambassador program for brand evangelists, including creating content for guest “superfans” to share
- Help refine Nat Hab’s staff photo/video program and co-create useful resources
- Coordinate the marketing aspects of a series of professional photo shoots in Nat Hab’s key destinations each year
- Contribute to other special projects as opportunities arise
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Minimum 3+ years in a full-time marketing (or similar) role preferred
- At least two years’ experience working in a Content Management System such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Squarespace, Weebly, Wix, etc.
- UX and UI design experience and the ability to create wireframes and mockups is a plus
- Quality assurance testing experience in a web development environment is preferred
- Ability to successfully manage several large projects and many small ones at once—often with diverse focuses—and excitement to take on new projects at any time
- Ability to learn new technology quickly and being comfortable working in a technical environment
- Ability to work effectively with different types of stakeholders (including technical and non-technical people) while balancing stakeholder requests with business objectives
- Enjoy adapting to new priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and steadfast dedication to timeliness, consistency and quality control
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills along with a demonstrated passion for problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with high levels of integrity, maturity and enthusiasm
- Proven track record managing successful lead-capture campaigns
- Ability to effectively collect and analyze data to assess the success of an ongoing or completed project
- Excellent communication skills. Writing and copyediting experience a plus
- Ability to follow directions and utilize constructive feedback to continually grow and improve as a professional
- A degree in marketing, communications, advertising, web design/development, graphic design, photography, project management, or a related field is preferred
COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000, plus annual bonus. Compensation commensurate with experience. (Per Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, employers must include compensation ranges in job postings) This position comes with generous PTO and paid holidays. Benefits include site inspection on Nat Hab trips, discounts on outdoor clothing and an onsite fitness facility. Eligibility for medical insurance, participation in 401(k) with company match and parental leave after a predetermined period of time.
TRAVEL
It is preferred that this will be a Colorado-based position, however, should we determine to hire a remote candidate, they would generally be expected to attend three to four annual multi-day-long retreats, meetings and/or company gatherings in Boulder, Colorado.
