Summary/Objective:
This full-time marketing team member will strategically work to build brand and product awareness through planning and executing a social media strategy, project manage go-to-market and sell-thru product and brand videos, provide event support (tradeshow, festivals, photoshoots), and curate blog content through copywriting, editing, and organization. They will support marketing projects and initiatives and work with external partners and departments on an as-needed basis with digital file organization, email communication, collateral production, and general administration.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and strong communicator with strong organizational and multitasking skills. The desire to learn more, work with a team, travel some and the ability to get into the details of numerous marketing tasks are required.
Social Media:
• Create and execute social media strategies on multiple social platforms; including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.; by delivering creative, on-brand content while keeping up with (better yet ahead of) industry and platform trends.
• Make it fun, camping is fun! Drive engagement and build our global audience with regular communication and posts, driving increased impressions and engagement and decisions based on metrics and post-performance. • Represent Big Agnes as the customer-facing social voice, maintaining a tone in alignment with the brand's values • Work closely with the Brand Manager to ensure social strategies aligns with company goals and brand voice. • Maintain and monitor social media accounts with seasonal targeted campaign messaging, relevant updates, giveaways, and photography from external partners.
• Provide professional-level customer service to customers reaching out via Big Agnes social media accounts on various platforms, working closely with and/or referring them to Big Agnes Customer Service
• Point of contact for collaborations with other brands on social media opportunities
• Track and report social metrics and post-performance regularly to inform future strategy.
• Serve as back up to Digital and Ecomm Specialist on Power Reviews by reviewing, answering, releasing and/or commenting on consumer reviews.
Video & Photo Production:
• Project manage product video needs for sell-in and sell-thru seasonal products, including identifying new and needed updates to product videos, co-authoring scripts with product development, works closely with videographer, product development and talent to deliver video content to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners from pre- to post-production, including scheduling talent, working with videographer for video editing for content and length, captioning, and create video thumbnails for site use. • Assist the Brand Manager with photography production needs including off-site photoshoots, model selection, and scheduling and logistics.
• Organize and manage video assets for marketing and sales.
• Upload videos to the appropriate channels and categories, share with relevant team members and departments
Marketing Content & Collateral:
• Provide catalog content including photography selection, product stories, and feature essays in accordance with deadlines, working closely with the Product Information Specialist, Graphics Department Manager, and Brand Manager • Collaborate with team members to proof marketing materials for accuracy, grammar, and content including the annual catalog, E-mails, and web content.
• Curate and execute blog strategy in accordance with brand and SEO initiatives with industry focused content and stories in collaboration with other marketing teams members to align with ranking goals for site optimization.
• Collaborate with marketing team members, photographers, and external partners to curate blog content, social giveaways, posts, and stories, gear reviews, and news from the field that aligns with content calendar and seasonal strategy. • Filter new photographer and social collaboration requests received via social accounts and distribute to relevant team members.
• Create and update box folders seasonally with copy, photo and video assets for distribution of marketing content to dealers, reps, sales team.
• Assist in organization of lifestyle photography catalog, tag for product inclusion and upload as submitted • Assist Partnerships and Sponsorship Specialist with local event donation requests and fulfillment • Pen and edit copy for catalog, website, email, and other marketing materials.
• Assist the marketing team with various tasks as needed.
Events Support
• Coordinate vehicles, food and beverage, gear packing, and miscellaneous planning logistics as needed for photoshoots, video shoots, and marketing and sales events.
• Attend, schedule, and participate in planning meetings ahead of events and tradeshows as needed. • Assists other staff members as needed with gear organization, cleaning, packing, unloading of trailers, etc. after events.
Job Qualifications:
• Prior work experience as a marketer of outdoor equipment, hard goods and/or apparel. Extensive knowledge of products and sports in outdoor category.
• Education: College degree in marketing, journalism or similar, or equivalent work experience • Proven skills at building brands through social media, current/future trends, boosted content strategies and key metrics to base decisions on
• Proven copy writing skills to proof and author technical and brand driven copy to be used at .com, blogs, packaging, etc. • Understanding of basic SEO rules that can be applied towards website copy writing
• Ability to build & maintain relationships with photographers and bloggers to deliver product and gather content that aligns with seasonal brand direction
• Experience developing and directing video production, including script writing, hiring videographers and on-camera talent while working to deliver content aligned with seasonal product launches.
• Computer Skills and Software: Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Woobox, Shopify, Netsuite, Meta, and social media scheduling platforms
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
• Location: On-site in Steamboat Springs, CO
• Vision, hearing, speech, manual and physical dexterity sufficient to set up tradeshow booths. • Ability to travel domestically and potentially internationally.
• Possible heavy lifting up to 50lbs, bending whilst assisting other departments.
• Passionate, active outdoor user.
• Ability to possibly stand for durations of time.
• Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.
