Hurtigruten Expeditions (HX) – and BSM Cruise Services – an independent provider of quality ship management services, maritime solutions and technological advancements to the cruise, ferry and yacht industry – formed in 2021 a Joint Venture based in Hamburg, Germany. This Joint Venture “HX TO GmbH” is managing the technical operations of the  4 expedition vessels.

HX is our expedition cruise business, which takes our guests from the wilderness of the Arctic to the Galápagos Islands, in our purpose-built expedition ships. In the last year, HX has been focused on becoming a fully standalone business from Hurtigruten Group. We’re hard at work, splitting our systems and digital real estate, while also developing our unique brand proposition, to become the global leader in the expedition cruise segment.
