General Summary

The KANTEEN Coordinator Provides premium hospitality experiences within all KANTEEN and Workplace services.

This role leads front of house operations for the KANTEEN and catering events. KANTEEN Coordinator manages the beverage program, acts as lead Barista for peak service windows, coordinates catering requests, and supports department administrative tasks.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Leads the KANTEEN beverage program while acting as lead Barista during peak service windows. Manages beverage inventory, ordering, stocking, recipe development, and Barista training.
  • Assists the chef with menu inquiries and appropriate staffing needs for events. Oversees event operations and adequate translation of event hosts wants and needs. Provides system operating procedure outlines and documentation for banquet events.
  • Supports the KANTEEN Manager with routine weekly and monthly finance and operations reporting. Additional support includes administration needs such as coding, filing and organizing department invoices. Processes weekly bank deposits, tracks key performance indicators for the KANTEEN, and maintains inventory levels of catering equipment and supplies.
  • Follows-up with prospective and past guests to building catering business relationships. Ensures timely correspondence with all catering guests inquiries. Provides Banquet Event Order contracts to clients and communicates event changes and clients financial obligations. Ensures that an accurate banquet ordering system is in place and properly advertised.
  • Helps with all KEEN HQ events in coordination with the Workplace Services team. Manages the Great Room and event calendar with the Workplace Services team. Helps plan the organization and staffing procedures for all banquet event staff. Ensures that event staff follow all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and system standards.
  • Attends monthly KANTEEN budget meeting and provide events sales report. Responsible for the proper accounting and reconciliation of banquet event revenue.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a premium hospitality environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain composure and act decisively in high pressure, urgent, or ambiguous situations.
  • Detail oriented with outstanding follow through.
  • Food handlers card and/or OLCC certificate is preferred.

Base Salary: $20.50 - $23.00 hourly

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and location.
