The HR Business Partner provides HR consulting and coaching to leaders and associates to support arrivia’s mission, vision and company goals through nimble and dynamic Human Resource services and effective solutions to people issues. The HRBP serves as the primary point of contact within HR for the business areas they service, and provides guidance and service on matters related to compensation, benefits, employment, compliance, engagement, employee relations, performance and development in collaboration with the HR centers of excellence. The HRBP uses accurate data to guide decision making, manages projects as assigned, and serves as a departmental subject matter expert in their assigned area(s) of specialty.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the HR Business Partner for assigned facilities and/or departments by:
- Serving as a primary liaison for internal departments to design, implement and deliver employee programs that positively impact the environment and create team member engagement.
- Coaching leaders and team members in assigned area(s) of the business to drive growth.
- Conducting reoccurring talent review meetings with assigned leaders, providing guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession, staffing, and performance management while also suggesting HR services to meet their needs.
Providing expertise in several aspects of the employment cycle by coaching leaders and team members on and providing tools for:
- Organizational Design and Talent Needs
- Onboarding and Training Plans
- Employee Relations
- Performance Management and Career Development
- Employee engagement, culture, and Diversity & Inclusion
- Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, conducting effective investigations, and recommending appropriate action/discipline based upon results.
- Proactively identifying and supporting the elements of change management with the business.
- Understanding, communicating, providing guidance on and ensuring acknowledgement of and compliance with HR policies & procedures and local/national employment laws & regulations.
- Training others and facilitating people related programs.
- Partnering with other HRBP’s and HR staff globally to ensure a consistent and awesome team member experience in every location, while cultivating a work environment that is diverse, inclusive, and instills a sense of belonging for all.
Partner with internal HR centers of excellence (COE) across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, HRIS, Training, and Diversity & Inclusion to design solutions and provide full-service HR support to the organization by:
- Consulting with subject matter experts on difficult and/or cross-functional issues to develop solutions that work for everyone involved while solving people problems.
- Referring team members to the appropriate resources for technical assistance.
- Developing, analyzing, and reporting out on key performance indicators and trends related to human capital to develop solutions to issues affecting the business.
- Championing and supporting HR initiatives and programs designed by the COE’s, such as Open Enrollment, Wellness, Policy Acknowledgements, etc.
- Ensuring education on and proper use of HR technologies by team members in assigned area(s).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required
- Minimum of 2 years working in human resources or a closely related field or, an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities
- HR Certification of PHR, SHRM-CP, or related designation is preferred.
- Knowledge of employment law, hiring practices, interview techniques, and HR metrics
- Previous experience with an Applicant Tracking System, HRIS system and survey software, and strong computer literacy skills with Microsoft Office products
- High level of confidentiality
- Ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines and exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external clients
- Ability to be proactive and take initiative, follow-up and follow through on all areas of responsibility and anticipate business needs and plan accordingly
