Job Description

  • Formulation of off property activities for our guests.  Examples include; shopping experiences, guided and self guided tours, city maps, children activities, and dining guides
  • Create exclusive to CPE  partnerships with fashion, art, culinary, adventures, music, beverage, design for guests to experience.
  • Personally hosting guests for guided tours/experiences.
  • A key personality of the Estate and ability to connect with guests.
  • Engage with the local community  and develop ways our guests can connect with Austin.
  • Work with Activities Manager to ensure  the vision of on property experiences are executed from a creative perspective.
  • Assist in sourcing all products required to execute the experiences.
  • Creative/artistic eye for enhancing event set ups 
  • Work with Events to execute on the set-up and event-related needs for the experiences.
  • Create daily rituals on property for guests and team members that instil the brand values.
  • Any additional duties as assigned that relate to defining or executing our “soulful” experiences.
  • Engaged and creative Austin personality with a sense of adventure and activity
  • Maintain complete knowledge at all times of:
  • All resort features/services, hours of operation;
  • All room types, layout, decor, appointments, and locations;
  • All room rates, special packages, and promotions;
  • Daily house count and expected arrivals/departures;
  • Room availability status for any given day; and
  • Scheduled daily group activities
  • Review arrivals and be familiar with all Notable guests, special requirements, amenity curation for Notable Guest and troubleshoot any potential problems.  
  • Meet with departing shift member to ensure follow-through and a seamless handover
  • Ensure that all guests receive personal, individual, and professional treatment
  • Provide guests with information, descriptions, directions, and reservations for all resort services, local restaurants, activities, travel arrangements, and other points of interest
  • Answer department telephones within three rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette
  • Accommodate all requests for information in a congenial manner
  • Work closely with the Front Office and Food & Beverage departments on special requests and amenities
  • Coordinate guest history with the Front Office, reservations, housekeeping, and room service
  • Develop good relationships with peers in local restaurants and wineries
  • Coordinate special attention for birthdays, anniversaries, or special events
  • Handle guest complaints or problems immediately, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Accurately input guest data into guest history
  • Produce weekly Commodore Perry activities information sheet
  • Assist in other Front Office operational duties, as needed
  • Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel
  • Plan and coordinate weekly events for Guests
  • Prepare newsletter for Guests
  • Must maintain excellent relationship within Front Office Department and must familiarize oneself with the operations and priorities of all other hotel operating departments.

     

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience within the luxury hospitality/travel industry
  • Strong writing skills and ability to hone a tone-of-voice per platform
  • Proactive attitude and the ability to work independently, multi-task, problem solve with strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate in applications in relevant computer applications required 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Team player, with strong communication skills – written and verbal; fast learner.
