Windigo Education Board is seeking a dedicated Grade 7/8 Teacher to join our team at Lawrence Wesley Education Centre in Cat Lake First Nation, Ontario. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant Oji-Cree community.

About Cat Lake First Nation
Cat Lake is a vibrant Ojibway community located 79 kilometers north of Sioux Lookout in Northwestern Ontario. Situated on the picturesque shores of the Cat Lake river system, our community offers:

Qualifications

• Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or eligible for membership
• Experience working with Indigenous students preferred
• Strong commitment to inclusive education and culturally responsive teaching

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Ontario curriculum standards
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues and community members to support student success
• Participate in school and community events
