Position: Global Logistics Intern
Location: KEEN’s Global Headquarters in Portland, Oregon (on-site)
Duration: 10 weeks

Compensation: $20/hour
Program Duration: Monday, June 16th – Friday, August 22nd

 

What You'll Do:

As an Intern at KEEN (KEENtern), you’ll dive into the exciting world of footwear, innovation, and community! You’ll get hands-on experience working alongside industry experts and contribute to shaping the future of KEEN.

The Global Logistics Intern will support the day-to-day operations of all aspects of logistics including distribution, freight audit, analytics, and fulfillment. In this role, you will navigate the intricacies of global trade, create and analyze logistics data, and identify new processes to optimize operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of global logistics, playing a key role in supporting KEEN product delivery around the world.

Scope and Complexity

Works on assignments that are routine to moderately complex in nature requiring some discretion and use of judgement/initiative.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standardized reports around logistics shipping and spend data.
  • Work with Global Logistics Procurement Analyst to review, organize, and analyze global logistics freight agreements.
  • Identify cost savings and efficiencies through freight audit platform (Trax.)
  • Support KEEN Trade Compliance with import documentation and assist with daily tasks.
  • Analyze data and prepare insightful logistics reports to optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with Global Logistics Team to enhance existing reporting to assist in key decision making.
  • Support the centralization of the supply and logistics function by collaborating closely with international subsidiaries.
  • Provide tactical support to the logistics team to support the execution against Long Range Plan (LRP) goals.

Program Requirements:

To qualify for this internship, you must:

  • Be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student studying Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Commit to a 10-week program from mid-June through mid-August
  • Dedicate 40 hours per week during standard M-F, PST working hours
  • All roles are located in Portland, OR. Must be able to move to Portland during the duration of the internship if you are not already living here.
  • Plan no more than four total days of vacation during the internship
  • 0-1 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Work, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced mathematical skills and statistical knowledge.
  • Strong level analytical skills and ability.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP and InforNexus preferred.
  • Problem solving and planning skills.
