The Global Key Account Specialist is responsible for providing best-in-class service and order management to Simms international distributors and key account partners while maintaining vendor trade agreements and managing chargebacks. This individual tirelessly seeks out ways to ensure critical information is communicated in a timely manner, both internally and externally, and develop strong partnerships within each account and distributor.
As a key member of the wholesale team this role will be expected to support our global key account partners through accurate and efficient order book management and communication consistent with the Simms brand and long-range key account strategies.
This position reports to the Manager, Global Key Accounts and is based out of our Bozeman office.Β
As the Global Key Account Specialist, you will have an opportunity to:Β
- Utilize and understand Simms inventory management system (Navision) as well as EDI, SPS Commerce, DOMO, Edifice, and account-specific portals. Efficiently manage order fulfillment and data management through all these channels in a timely manner with the highest level of accuracy.
- Responsible for purchase orders and bulk reservations; including order adjustments, order acknowledgements and arrival date accuracy. Proactive communication with Sales Managers, Sales reps, and accounts regarding shifts and/or changes to order book. Help identify ASAP opportunities to drive sales and move inventory. Process Backorders in a timely manner. Make critical decisions about inventory allocation when demand exceeds supply.
- Partner with IT and Sales Operations Manager to ensure order processing logic is current and accurate. Maintains customer accounts in NAV for accuracy.
- Work seamlessly with the North American Sales Team to develop best practices and think outside the box.
- Responsible for managing and meeting requirements outlined within each customer vendor trade agreement. Facilitates the communication of any updates of requirements to appropriate departments within Simms for adjustments to be made to operating systems and procedures.
- Is responsible for chargeback resolution by research and partnering with logistics, finance, and sales to ensure accuracy and validity. Once resolution is achieved, specialist will document and loop in appropriate parties and work to minimize future chargebacks.
- Proactively maintain and update work processes, pricing, and contacts for Global Key Accounts in partnership with sales managers, sales representatives, and distributors.
- Build a strong working relationship with Simms Logistics and 3PL partner to help facilitate routing, value-added services, shipping, and other unique Key Account needs.
- Support Global Key Accounts Manager with sample prep for Key Account meetings.
- Efficiently balance and plan for a variable workload, shifting when necessary to meet the demands of the company. Periodic travel in support of Key accounts will be required.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism through timely & effective communication via all channels (email, IM, telephone, etc.).
- Partner closely with Sales Managers and representatives and act as requested.
- Develop tools to improve and streamline processes.
- Train and support back-up staff for seamless out of office.
You have:Β
- Associate degree or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a dealer or customer services rep, outdoor apparel or fishing brand experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze account specific needs to develop and implement a strategic plan to efficiently support the business.
- Strategic data management skills with a command of trend analysis.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with key account buyers, planners, and logistical staff.
- A proven track record of exceptional organizational, planning and data management skills in addition to exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Must be highly motivated and results oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team environment with ability to easily adapt to change, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to make independent decisions and regularly suggest ways to improve services and processes.
- Strong PC skills/aptitude. Intermediate Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Overnight travel up to 15%.
Pay Range:
$48,300.00 - $68,100.00
