POSITION SUMMARY
This General Manager-Retail Store will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations to ensure a seamless, exceptional consumer experience by providing personalized, consumer-oriented service and inspiring visual merchandising strategies. The position will involve understanding local market trends and adjusting strategies to meet business goals, while fostering a positive high service-oriented team environment through leadership, coaching, and talent development. This leader will drive revenue growth by executing sales strategies/promotions, ensuring operational excellence, and collaborating with internal partners to maintain profitability through process alignment/connectivity. Additionally, the position will represent the company in a professional manner by engaging with the local community, building local partnerships, and creating brand awareness through events and volunteer opportunities.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Consumer Experience
· Cultivate an environment of genuine consumer connection by delivering exceptional, engaging, and personalized experiences.
· Execute consumer experience program initiatives, visual merchandising, and visual standards to bring the organization’s story to life at the retail store level.
· Address customer concerns and implement solutions that ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
· Work closely with the Sr. Director of Retail to analyze consumer trends and local market data to adjust product offerings and services that meet customer needs.
Leadership & Team Development
· Lead associate engagement by fostering a positive, collaborative team environment where associates perform at their best.
· Develop, train, coach, and provide feedback to associates using performance and talent management tools, ensuring growth throughout their journey.
· Ensure talent identification processes are used to build a strong internal bench, hire exceptional people, and create succession paths.
· Implement proactive recruitment strategies to maintain year-round staffing levels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Training
Sales & Revenue Strategy
· Analyze, develop, and execute revenue-building strategies to achieve and exceed store sales goals, revenue targets and performance metrics.
· Collaborate with internal partners for timely execution of store controls and operating standards while ensuring profitability and team safety.
· Manage store expenses, labor costs, and operational budgets to ensure profitability.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
· Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to the store.
· Lead community engagement initiatives, such as events and volunteer opportunities, that align with the company’s mission and values.
Store Operations & Standards
· Lead the execution of store controls, operating standards, and policy and procedure development in conjunction with RealTruck Partners and its administration to ensure smooth operations.
· Oversee inventory management, loss prevention, and stock accuracy to minimize shrinkage and optimize inventory levels.
· Collaborate with corporate and regional leadership to execute store controls, audits, and compliance programs.
· Communicate with leadership regarding operations data (product trends, local competition, wages, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required or equivalent experience
· 7+ years of retail management/operations experience required.
· 3+ years of managing a retail store team required.
· Experience in both retail and wholesale experience within the automotive aftermarket and/or outdoor industry preferred.
· Track record of driving innovation in retail marketing, including the use of cutting-edge technologies and tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual Acuity
· The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general labor, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.).
Working Conditions
· This position involves a mix of physical and administrative tasks, including managing inventory, visual merchandising, ensuring safety and security standards, and analyzing sales data. The work environment often requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and moving merchandise, and working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the operational needs of the store.
