Cradle Mountain Hotel is nestled in the alpine woodlands at the northern end of the breathtaking Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park. This wonderful escape showcases the absolute best this region has to offer with warm and welcoming hospitality, sensational local food and wine, indulgent spa facilities and breathtaking scenery. Located approximately two hours from Launceston and four hours from Hobart, our 60 room hotel also incorporates the award-winning Altitude restaurant and stunning Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery.

Job Description

  • We're looking for someone who can commit for 6 months or more!
  • Please note: Cradle Mountain Hotel is not in an eligible location to be counted towards WHM visa days!

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you may work at a variety of our outlets, providing exceptional service with a warm welcome. You’ll treat our guests and customers as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can-do attitude. On a daily basis you will:

  • Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages.
  • Ensure accurate processing of dockets, including cashiering duties.
  • Setup and reset restaurants and specific conference & function activities as required.

We’re interested in experienced wait staff, as well as skilled baristas, bartenders or general food & beverage all-rounders! 

What you’ll bring:  

  • Food and beverage service experience with a passion for great food showcasing local produce 
  • Strong bar, cocktail and mixology experience
  • Barista skills (ability to manage high number of orders in a short window)
  • A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
  • Genuine interest and knowledge of beverage products such as spirits, beer, and wine.
  • A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  • Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion
  • Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays
