The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Commercial Fisheries is recruiting for a Fish and Game Program Technician located in Haines!
What you will be doing:
The Fish and Game Program Technician provides administrative, clerical, and technical support for Haines Area management and research projects for the Division of Commercial Fisheries, Division of Wildlife Conservation, and Sport Fish staff. This position provides customer service to the public with current information regarding fish and wildlife regulations and practices; performs fish ticket data entry, issues permits and harvest tickets, licenses, and tags, collects and records harvest reports, and seals animals such as bears, moose, goats, and furbearers, This position is the sole administrative support for accounting (budget tracking, processing receipts, office management) and personnel for the Haines office staff.

Special Note:
A valid driver's license is required.
This position may be in possession of, or have access to, firearms/ammunition.
Two years of office clerical experience or technical experience related to fish, wildlife or habitat resources;
OR
One year of experience providing advanced clerical services based on established procedures, precedents, and policies in administrative, informative, and/or programmatic functions. This experience includes work such as an Office Assistant 2 with the State of Alaska, or the equivalent elsewhere.
Substitution:
Postsecondary education from an accredited college may substitute for the required experience (3 semester or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience).
