About the Role

We are looking for a positive and engaging Experiences Coordinator to join our company. The Experiences Coordinator will handle the logistics for daily Experiences, in an effort to facilitate the job of the Wilderness Guides and Guest Services Attendants.

This role demands a proactive approach, with an emphasis on innovation and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on the overall guest experience at Northern Lights Village.



Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinating logistics, scheduling, and transportation for all activities

  • Managing and motivating team members

  • Inventory management for items such as guests’ winter gear, guides’ staff clothing, supplies and equipment used during activities

  • Liaise with internal and external partners to ensure seamless execution, such as taxi companies, reindeer herders and husky kennel workers

  • Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, making adjustments as needed

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe, responsible manner in line with company policies

  • Keeping records of any notable information, such as injuries, activity costs, behavioral incidents and participant interest

Requirements


  • Fluent spoken and written English

  • Valid B drivers’ license

  • 2 or more years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience working as a wilderness guide

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

  • Creative thinker with the ability to innovate and implement new ideas

  • Resilient, with the ability to work flexibly under pressure

  • Patience and compassion when dealing with staff and guest

Beneficial Qualifications


  • Knowledge of Finnish language in addition to English

  • Knowledge of the local area

  • Photography skills

  • First Aid certificate

    Duration, Pay, and Benefits



    • Starts: September/October Ends: March/April

    • Minimum 90 working hours per 3 weeks period

    • Hourly pay negotiated in an interview, according to knowledge and experience

    • Other benefits according to the collective labor agreement

    • If necessary, the resort provides accommodation in a shared room for €250,00/month
