Reports to: Manager, Environmental Services, Clean Energy, & Community Engagement

Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact


 



  • Perform Environmental Risk Assessments and related studies

  • Plan predictive environmental risk assessments

  • Conduct environmental modelling and simulations

  • Prepare environmental assessment reports, including analysis of climate data, meteorological data, environmental characterization data

  • Work alongside customers to track overall initiative progress and communicate with stakeholders and leadership

  • Provide OPEX and industry best practices and insights to projects

  • Develop technical methodologies and estimates for client proposals

  • Conduct project team planning such that there is successful integration


 


What You Need to Succeed


 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology) or Engineering (Environmental).

  • Ability to integrate technical inputs from various sources across multiple disciplines into cohesive technical assessments.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in:

    • Environmental risk assessment

    • Environmental characterization

    • Environmental modeling

    • Impact assessment/environmental assessments



  • 5 to 10 years of technical experience in industry or government. Experience in power generation, transmission & distribution, or nuclear facilities is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with Canadian nuclear regulatory requirements and environmental regulations is an asset.

  • Capability to work in a project-driven environment, meet deadlines, work under pressure, and adhere to project constraints (time, cost, quality).

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and coordinate multiple activities efficiently.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within a quality management system.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interface effectively and gain clients' trust.

  • Motivation to work with engineering and technical professionals committed to producing high-quality technical work.

  • Flexibility to accept evolving assignments as projects conclude and new ones begin.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Exhibit customer-centric behavior suitable for a consultancy environment.
