POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, eCommerce will lead a team of specialized product analysts to measure, test and optimize the booking and fulfillment flow for Alterra Mtn Co’s destination websites, whether our guest is booking a complete trip or a single product. You will work closely with various stakeholders across our lines of business to create and drive online product merchandising strategies for our destinations that support Alterra Mtn Co’s financial and guest experience goals. Strong verbal and written skills will be required as you work with these stakeholders and a successful candidate for this role must exhibit strong capability in listening, understanding and documenting strategies and solutions. This role will also provide feedback and direction on gaps and opportunities with our ecommerce product and system capabilities. Critically important is the ability for this role to measure and report on the results of the identified and implemented eCommerce strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
General Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with partners across the organization to understand line of business goals, revenue management goals, and customer experience goals. Synthesize these goals into a set of eCommerce strategies that will achieve the company’s eCommerce Objectives and Key Results
- Build and manage a team of product specialists in supporting our various lines of business that support and provide subject matter expertise on system capabilities and product direction decisions.
- Drive improvements to key eCommerce metrics:
- Conversion through improved product presentation
- AOV through optimized cross sell / up sell
- Guest satisfaction through increased confidence they are getting the right product and knowing exactly how that product will be fulfilled
- ECommerce Revenue as a total percentage of our line of business revenue through continued migration of sales to the online channel
- Document and deliver system enhancement requests based on data, guest insights, and booking trends in other travel and leisure industries for insights and opportunities to inform and transform the ski industry booking experience
- Partner closely with Alterra Mtn Co’s analytics team to create dashboards to measure eCommerce product performance and deploy A/B tests and personalization to prove out optimizations.
- Partner closely with Alterra Mtn Co’s guest insights team to measure guest experience and obtain feedback from guests
- Work with internal stakeholders and Product Operations manager to establish requirements and standards for new or changing product build requirements.
- Strong presentation skills and able to articulate ideas to various stakeholders across multiple product lines.
- Track and communicate team progress, identify blockers and risk
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years in online merchandising
- 5-7 years in ecommerce software systems
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and document requirements for varying levels of organizational stakeholders and cross business units functionality
- Experience with Adobe Analytics
- Experience working with standard technology productivity tools, such as Jira, Lucidchart, Trello, Monday and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- SDLC knowledge including requirements, design, implementation, development, system and integration testing, user acceptance testing, documentation, and training.
- Domain knowledge of hospitality, travel, and leisure industries.
- Strong analytical, verbal, written and decision-making skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a travel, leisure, product merchandising or web or 3+ years managing online product merchandising or equivalent experience
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $85,000 - $128,000 per year
