A Brief Overview
The Director, Wholesale Insights & Engagement creates and executes premium, physical and digital marketing strategies that play out within the companies retail partners, driving sell-through and consistent brand messaging.
Core Responsibilities
- Creates individual marketing plans for key accounts, incorporating seasonal brand and marketing initiatives in collaboration with Sales and Wholesale Accounts teams.
- Implements seasonal Go-To-Market (GTM) plans in the US Region to elevate key product launches and drive sell-in and sell-through in collaboration with the US Marketing team. Communicates marketing, campaign, and brand building initiatives to retail accounts (including buyers, merchandisers, and marketing teams), Sales team and visual merchants to ensure alignment with GTM strategies.
- Establishes analytical processes and KPIs for individual strategic accounts. Leverages account platforms to increase engagement, drive traffic, and increase conversion. Reports monthly on account marketing insights and campaign analysis.
- Evaluates the success of key account marketing programs and regional level plans by season using qualitative and quantitative measures. This includes events, in-store programs, point of sale, tech training, promotions, brand education, and materials. May also include in-store and web promotions, grassroots, peer-to-peer marketing efforts, and sponsorships.
- Conceptualize and implements visual merchandising programs. Work with Sales team to develop point of sale materials for retail accounts and trade shows. Briefs internal and external creative teams and provide project oversight.
- Attends sell-in meetings and trade shows. Manages marketing message and visual components of US trade shows. Builds and manage relationships with key account marketing and buying teams.
- Curate best in class brand activation in wholesale, customer facing tradeshows, including regional shows and brand activations. Creates branded space activations with strategic key accounts in the US (branded space, SIS, walls, omni channel activations, social).
- Manages wholesale marketing calendar and budget. Develop and manage budgets, work-back schedules, and sign-off procedures for creative resources.
- Oversees US wholesale marketing employees. Administers performance reviews, coaching, and training. Participates in setting the annual goals for the department and ensures that team members understand their level of influence and contribution to those goals.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent field. Required
- 10+ years experience in Marketing or Digital Marketing Required and
- Experience in the Footwear industry Preferred

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in retail marketing/merchandising.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Expert level knowledge of consumer buying behavior throughout the marketing funnel.
- Self-motivated with ability to establish personal rapport and build strong business partnerships via phone, email, and in-person.
- Excellent project management skills with a strong ability to prioritize.
- Strong knowledge of current technology, trends, and best practices in retail and digital marketing.
- Ability to build and manage comprehensive budgets
- Thrives in a lean, fast-paced environment
Travel Required
Base Salary:
$140,000 - $160,000 yearly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and location.
