The Director, People Experience plays a leadership role in partnering with business leaders and the People team to advance programs that drive employee experience in alignment with the Stanley brand. The role is essential to create a positive and engaging work environment that promotes talent attraction, employee engagement, and a sense of belonging. You will teach, coach and model how to use an employee experience-centered design, iterative experimentation, and agile approach to create moments of ‘delight’ for the Stanley global workforce.

This position is responsible for planning, integrating, and overseeing projects and initiatives from idea to implementation and measurement. Areas of ownership include Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Engagement, Employee Communications, and Recognition, as well as being a key thought partner to other People initiatives. This role reports to the Vice President, Global People at Stanley.

This position will be hybrid in our Seattle, WA office.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the employee experience strategy to align with the company's strategic priorities.
  • Anticipate employee needs and understand industry trends to enhance current programs and initiate new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with global business leaders, HRBPs, and Talent Acquisition to design and implement initiatives that enhance the employee experience, such as onboarding, recognition, DEI programs.
  • Measure employee experiences throughout the full employee lifecycle, assess effectiveness, understand impact, define opportunities, and action planning.
  • Identify and implement the HR communications strategy through a variety of channels with internal and external talent.
  • Create and maintain a learning & development program with an emphasis on ongoing management and employee training to elevate talent and improve employee experiences.
  • Own the development and implementation of HR practices that support our desired culture.
Who You Are

  • 10+ of proven experience designing and implementing successful employee experience programs that connect to business strategy and needs, with a solid track record of successfully using inclusive strategy, roadmap prioritization, experimentation, and a forward-thinking approach.
  • Able to see the big picture but is not afraid to get into the details. Leverages systems thinking across comprehensive discovery, effectively define and prioritize challenges with the ability to design and operationalize solutions.
  • Team-first approach and willingness to problem-solve with others. Able to take the lead and enable others across teams and geographies to deliver.
  • Passionate about providing excellent employee experiences, with knowledge of industry trends in employee engagement. Able to translate highly ambiguous opportunities into structured problems, and to develop well-founded solutions in a creative way.
  • Highly proficient in using data to track success against objectives, make decisions and understand program effectiveness.
  • Prior experience in improving company Employee Value Proposition through social media (Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Strong project management and cross-functional and team communication skills, with experience managing budgets and resources.
  • General Microsoft Office skills and HRMS experience required.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
