What will be your daily pursuit?






The Development Manager will oversee and assist with the planning, execution, and completion of hospitality construction projects for the PNW geographies of Pursuit.  These will include food and beverage outlets, retail stores, accommodations, infrastructure, employee housing and attractions. This role involves coordinating with the Operations teams of Pursuit PNW and other internal stakeholders.  Acting as the project representative with architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

$75,000 annual salary









What will you do in this job?






  • Project Planning: Work with operations and internal stakeholders to perform due diligence on proposed projects. Create Request for Proposals for design team and contractors. Manage design team to complete comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation.  Work with Internal Stakeholders for internal corporate approvals.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Manage coordination with landlords as necessary.
  • Budget Management: Create and monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency. Prepare and present regular budget reports to senior management. Work with contractors to maintain budgets.
  • Schedule Management: Create and maintain detailed project schedules. Track progress and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines. Ensure all team members are tracking on schedule.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all construction work meets or exceeds company standards, industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and resolve any issues promptly. Hire outside professionals to conduct quality control testing and inspections.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address any challenges that arise during the construction process.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications. Provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Contract Management: Oversee the procurement process, including the selection of contractors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships. Review and approve applications for payment and confirm work in place matches application completion percentages and contract requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards. Ensure all permits required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction are obtained.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, permits, submittals, contracts, as-builts and progress reports.
  • Project Closeout: Manage close out procedures for the project including documentation, inspection approvals, final payments, landlord reimbursements, creation and completion of punch lists.








What skills and experience do you need for this job?






Ideal Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience with large scale projects and budgets >$1M.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Overnight travel will be required several times per month.

Preferred Experience:

  • Five plus years working as a project manager for a General Contractor.
  • Experience with projects in National Parks.
  • Understanding of Hospitality operations.
