Are you currently looking for a full-time position in the outdoor industry? Petzl America is seeking an experienced, detail oriented, customer service representative to work with our Sport and Professional Customer Service teams.


The CSS Rep will provide sales support and in-house account management, in partnership with external sales reps, for the North American Petzl customer base. This includes phone and electronic communication support to prospective dealers, retail employees, and retail customers. The position will work closely with other territory CSS representatives, independent external sales Reps, and the internal sales team to provide front line assistance with in-bound orders, product questions, delivery status, technical information, and after sales support. They will develop a strong working relationship with Reps and Retailers and be the main backup support for other CSS reps.


SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS



  • Superior customer relationship care and sales-motivated personality

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to seek out work that needs to be done

  • Skillful communicator: in writing, in person, and over the phone

  • Familiarity with Petzl product for both markets (Professional work-at-height and Sport)

  • Outgoing person, enjoys developing relationships and working in a team atmosphere

  • Strong technical aptitude; enjoys learning about and discussing Petzl gear and applications

  • Self-starter and problem solver

  • SAP and Salesforce knowledge

  • High attention to detail




TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Process and manage orders and inquiries about the Petzl products

  • Cover CSS Territory Reps when they need support or are out of the office

  • Grow Petzl sales through technical support and education

  • Respond to customer concerns regarding orders, distribution, inventory levels, and logistics

  • Develop and maintain an accurate knowledge of the Petzl product line, its usage, and changes, in order to provide technical advice and product recommendations

  • Efficiently communicate about account information, changes in orders, and service issues with both Retailers and Sales Reps


The ideal candidate has experience not only in account management, sales and customer service but experience in the vertical world. We are looking for a candidate who projects an unwavering positive attitude and maturity. Superior accuracy, proofreading & communication skills are also highly desired.
