Job Description

The custodian is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of all team member offices, restrooms, lunchrooms and break rooms at the facility. Ensures all areas are cleaned and sanitized. They will also be working in the cafeteria and company store.

Hours:  Monday - Friday 2:30 - 11pm 

Pay: $20.50 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Working alongside the team members involved in the cleaning and upkeep of facility (i.e. Sanitation)
  • Sweeping & mopping breakrooms, restrooms and hallways
  • Cleaning floors, walls, windows, conference rooms, offices, & restrooms according to the Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS)
  • Stocking custodial and PPE supplies for use on the plant floor and offices.
  • Discusses any potential quality control issues with Supervisor or Shift Manager.
  • Maintain good communication with Manager at all times.
  • Report maintenance issues in a timely fashion.
  • Keep areas neat and organized daily.
  • Always keep all chemical containers properly labeled .
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all sanitation supplies by partnering with Buyer.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).
  • Assist in Packaging as needed
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Working in Employee Cafeteria as needed
  • working in Employee Store as needed

Pay is based on $17.50 per hour plus $3.00 shift differential

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required Education: None

Required Experience: None

Preferred: Knowledge of warehouse facility cleaning and/or upkeep

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Position requires use of hands and commercial cleaners.
  • Ability to perform repetitive functions.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.

The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. Travel may be required.
