About Fort Nelson First nation
Fort Nelson First Nation's vision for a Strong, Healthy, Proud, and Self-Reliant community, guides our school. Chalo School is situated 9 kilometers from the town of Fort Nelson, on the Fort Nelson First Nation Reserve. We serve a student population of approximately 120 students from K4 to grade twelve. Chalo School is an independent school that follows the prescribed curriculum of the BC Ministry of Education. Our school offers a strong sense of community through building relationships and connections with staff, students, and families. Chalo school utilizes a team approach through regular team meetings and a walk-to-learn system in the elementary. Small class sizes (20 pupils max.) means that staff are able to provide the time and support needed to ensure that all students are able to learn at high levels.

As a key member of the school's instructional team, this teacher is responsible for providing instruction for Culture, Prekindergarten to Grade 12.
In consultation with colleagues, the teacher provides effective and research-based planning, instructional and assessment practices.
Qualifications:
All applicants must be eligible for certification by the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch.
Remuneration:
