About The Role


Experience in a bustling, food-focused setting is highly preferred. This role requires proficiency in people management, KPIs, food and wage cost analysis, and staying up to date with current food trends.




Key responsibilities include:



  • Managing the kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence

  • Ensuring kitchen staff are well-versed in menu items, preparation methods, and presentation.

  • Controlling food portioning and rotation to maintain cost efficiency and compliance with food safety regulations.

  • Cultivating strong relationships within the kitchen brigade and F&B service team.

  • Effectively managing kitchen labour costs and rostering to optimize profitability.

  • Overseeing food procurement and inventory management to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

  • Organizing and maintaining kitchen storage areas for efficiency and cleanliness.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.




About You


We are seeking a dynamic individual with:



  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie or leadership experience in a kitchen environment.

  • A passion for culinary excellence, presentation, and guest experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • Dedication to team development and training, fostering a positive and creative culinary culture.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry legislation and standards.
