Position Summary: Overseas Adventure Travel is seeking a qualified and dedicated Copywriter with a strong background in creating a variety of marketing initiatives from conception to finalization. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, multitasker, with strong communication and teamwork skills, who thrives in a fast-paced and creative environment. Our Copywriters must:
- Work directly with Senior Copywriters to update and maintain itinerary content across all products.
- Work with project managers to prioritize and schedule copywriting jobs to maintain speed and efficiency.
- Write, edit, and proofread trip itinerary content to ensure the latest updates and style changes have been applied.
- Utilize content management platforms and web-based proofing tools to implement edits as necessary.
- Collaborate with Web Content Managers, Email Producers, Graphic Designers/Production Artists and Photo Editors on overall creative presentation and copy accuracy.
- Adhere to inhouse style guidelines to ensure a consistent brand voice and identity.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned, including web, e-mail, direct mail catalogs, video scripting, pre-departure communications, and more.
- Proactively engage with and aid the Senior Copywriting staff to ensure large-scale project deadlines are met.
- Be eager to learn about the travel industry and travel trends.
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (English preferred)
- 3-5 years of web or direct mail copywriting experience
- A digital copywriting portfolio that displays strong writing and editing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple jobs simultaneously, and re-prioritize at a moment's notice
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Fast, flexible, detail-oriented, and cooperative work style
- Travel industry familiarity not essential, but preferred
- Passion for travel and learning of faraway cultures; learned armchair travelers okay
