Job Description

What you’ll do  

This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity, working in our very own Resort Bistro, located onsite for resort guests.  You will work closely to support the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operations, for daily meal services and specialist events and functions. 

  • Ensure all aspects of food preparation, cooking and presenting of dishes according to company guidelines and customer preferences 
  • Liaise with kitchen staff, food service/bar staff and management regarding customers order and general service of kitchen operations 
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, to include proper storage of food, equipment, utensils and implements 
  • Daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries and recording assessment where necessary 
  • Cleaning, sanitising and disinfecting all kitchen areas in accordance with daily cleaning

What you’ll bring   

  • A formal qualification in commercial cookery would be an advantage 
  • Previous experience in a restaurant, club kitchen, or events and functions
  • A working understanding of 'Food Safety' principles and workplace health and safety 
  • Effective verbal communication skills and a collaborative team based approach
  • Happy to work as part of a team and chip in to get to get the job done right!
