Who We’re Looking for:

We are looking for a Community Specialist to join our Brand Relationships team. This role is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships across our portfolio in different verticals including, but not limited to outdoor, lifestyle, health + wellness, fitness, cultural, and beauty space, and will serve as the day-to-day liaison for the community members. As the Community Specialist, you’ll be responsible for driving awareness, affinity, and advocacy for Therabody, creating and maintaining relationships with partners in the outdoor, lifestyle, health + wellness, fitness, cultural, and beauty space. This role will work with community tastemaker members to maintain as well as actively seek new partnerships that align with current Therabody marketing strategy and focus verticals. This role will thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, and isn’t afraid to take initiative and run with projects with varying levels of direction. The Community Specialist will report into the Vice President of Brand Relationships and partner closely with the influencer marketing + sports partnership teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Works alongside the Brand Relationships team to develop and drive Therabody's community tastemaker program. 
  • Elevates Therabody’s brand, awareness and consumer consideration through community tastemaker focused partnerships & programs.
  • Drives the execution and oversees the day-to-day conversations with every assignment.
  • Procures, develops and activates the community tastemaker program that effectively meets the evolving Therabody marketing strategy.
  • Cultivates and manages Therabody’s tastemaker community program(s) for brand utilization.
  • Assesses unsolicited and explores external partnership opportunities to potentially be a part of community tastemaker strategy.  
  • Drives Therabody collaborative strategic partnership programs within the multiple categories, i.e.,  outdoor, lifestyle, health + wellness, fitness, cultural, and beauty space.
  • Identify key opportunities to surprise, delight, and show our community tastemaker members how much we appreciate them. 
  • Active outreach and communication in-person or over phone/email to relevant individuals and groups in the dedicated community. 
  • Lead community based content-generation programs and initiatives, on an ongoing basis but also particularly around key moments such as product launches or cultural moments within the Therabody brand.
  • Source UGC (user generated content) and community stories for content (including monitoring, downloading and editing) from the tastemaker community program. 
  • Handle day-to-day needs of partner relationships within the community, and assist with production and staffing of consumer-facing events on behalf of the Therabody brand. 
  • Fulfill new and current product requests from community tastemakers. 
  • Manage and track community tastemakers activity to support the program. 
  • Mine for new talent and partnerships that align within these categories, understanding any shifts in the industry.
  • Cultivate relationships and conversations with current and potential community tastemaker members.
  • Oversee performance reporting, analysis and provide recommendations to the Therabody Brand relationships team to help advise their current and future tastemaker community strategies.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create campaigns and content pertaining to authentic storytelling
  • Willingness to travel 30% of the time. 
The Right Person Would Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years directly related experience managing relationships and / or community programs
  • Ability to build, manage, and maintain strategic relationships and partnerships
  • Experience in community management in entertainment, art, sports, hype, fashion, tech and cause
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Able to handle and manage multiple relationships with ambassadors and partners with the highest level of customer service and external communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Goal oriented with high standards for excellence
  • Strong time management skills
The annual base salary range for this position is from $50,000 to $60,000. This base pay range is for the U.S. and not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, candidate’s related work experience, business sector and geographic location. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus, although incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
