Camp Counselor

Rehoboth Beach Country Club is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Camp Counselors to support our summer Kids Camp Program for children ages 4 to 13. The position is seasonal and runs from June 6th to August 29th. 

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Camp Coordinator to ensure a safe, engaging, and fun experience for all campers. This role requires high energy, a positive attitude, and a passion for working with kids in a structured yet exciting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and actively engage with campers, always ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist the Camp Coordinator in planning and leading a variety of recreational activities, including sports, arts & crafts, outdoor games, and team-building exercises.
• Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment where all campers feel welcome and encouraged to participate.
• Help facilitate daily camp routines, including check-in/check-out procedures, snack times, and transitions between activities.
• Ensure proper use of camp equipment and maintain a clean and organized camp area.
• Act as a role model for campers by demonstrating respect, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
• Communicate effectively with fellow counselors, staff, and parents when needed.
• Respond to emergency situations calmly and appropriately, following club safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting is preferred.
• High-energy, outgoing personality with a passion for creating fun and engaging experiences.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before the start of camp).
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Work Schedule & Compensation:

• Seasonal position with varying hours based on camp schedule.
• Must be available weekdays, holidays and some weekends as needed.
